Meet Lina & Lucas

Lina Zhang never had cats before in her life, and without that experience she always felt nervous around other people's pets. After the pandemic, though, she felt that she wanted to add a furry friend to her family, but didn't know where to start. Her youngest child was allergic to cats and she wasn't sure if she was either, and because she was nervous about having a cat for the first time, the breed also had to be very friendly and social. It wasn't long before she discovered the Siberian breed, which are hypo-allergenic and such sweethearts!

When looking for this relatively rare breed, she came across a few scams that were charging only $600 for a cat, which is unheard of for Siberians. Finally, she found a breeder and brought home her first cat, Lucas. She instantly fell in love, and Lucas brought so much joy to her family that she couldn't believe she had waited so long to get a pet. He followed her from room to room, loved hugs, and was playful and cute. Aside from all of that, he was a gorgeous, regal animal.

Although Lucas is a neutered pet and was never a working stud in our breeding program, we credit him for starting our cattery because of the inspiration he gave us and the desire to make these rare and delightful cats available, especially for those limited with allergies or anxiety.

Today, Lucas keeps the other cats company, and due to his peaceful and accepting nature, plays an important role as a friend to any cat in our cattery.
