Litter and Litter Box Setup
Our kittens are litter trained by the time they are just 1 month old. Mom teaches them! It's an amazing thing to be able to watch and we never tire of watching Queens at work with their little ones and what they do to get them ready for the world in, what seems to us, a short amount of time.
Since they use the same litter from the time they are very little, they are comforted by seeing this same litter and smelling themselves in it day after day. On their big day, when you pick them up, a lot changes for them, so it's beneficial that one of the most familiar things to them remain with them as they transition.
We use Purrify litter, which is a tofu and corn starch based litter, that changes color based on the pH of the kittens urine. This can help you tell if they are healthy in their early stages. To purchase litter for your kitten, follow this link to enjoy a discount on us!

A Great Inexpensive Litter

Natural, compostable, flushable, good odor control, what's not to love? Our kittens are used to using this kind of litter and are well familiar with the texture as well!
Basic boxes

It's okay for your first litter box to get a very inexpensive plastic box as a temporary solution, but you'll find the quality of plastic is scratched over time which hides bacteria. Therefore, we recommend stainless steel bases for manual litter boxes for ease of cleaning and longevity. Click the picture to see our recommendation.
Steel Boxes

This is our preferred budget option for our cattery. Our litter boxes see a lot of use, and we often do a full clean where we empty the litter and do a full clean before filling with fresh litter at least once a month, maybe more. You may need to do it less with fewer cats, but this recommended cleaning is still easier and more effective with a metal box.
Self Cleaning Litter Box

A basic litter box to get you started with the world of self cleaning litter boxes. Reliable, and with capabilities of discerning your cats based on their weight and tracking their usage of the litter box, it's a perfect investment for multi-cat households, or a handy tool for tracking your cats frequency of use.
Advanced Automation

One of the downsides of self cleaning litter boxes is that it's more difficult to actively monitor your cats health through their droppings. That changes with the camera and AI system in this litter box, and you can tune in any time to watch your cat use the litter box, if you want to of course!
The Almighty Litter Robot

This is the litterbox we get asked about a lot. We encourage you to do your own research to see what is a best fit for you, as the litter robot tends to be one of the more expensive litter boxes on the market, but it is great for multi-cat households and holds a lot of waste and is relatively good with odor control. It's popularity also results in quick customer service and readily available replacement parts as well.
